Welcome to the
Bemidji State University's
The Physics Club and the Department of Physics/Science, as sponsors of WØBSU, are early
in building (or more precisely, rebuilding) an amateur (ham) radio station on Third Floor, Sattgast
Hall. We don't have much yet, just an old used transceiver and a borrowed antenna.
What we have is shown below: It isn't a lot, but we're working on it. We thank Mr.
Gurnee Bridgeman, who holds the license for WØBSU as caretaker, for planting the
idea of reestablishing a ham station on the BSU campus and for his assistance and
encourgement.
This past winter (2003), Ken Hartwig and the Paul Bunyan Radio Club held the first
on-campus 10 week class for Technician with Morse Code licensure (in Sattgast).
We hope to host more such classes, offered free to the community, in the future.
