Welcome to Stevens F. Johnson's
Haystack Observatory Chautauqua Seminar Gallery
Prof. Johnson attended a May 24-26, 2005, Chautauqua Seminar on teaching radio astronomy at
the undergraduate level at the Haystack Observatory in
northeast Massachusetts. The Observatory is a joint operation of
Lincoln Laboratory of MIT
(Massachussetts Intitute of Technology), and the
US Air Force with DARPA
(Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency). The
seminar is part of the Observatory's
education resources
programs for graduate, undergraduate, and precollege students and their advisors. Nine
of us attended from as far as Texas and as near as New Hampshire.
The best of my photographs are linked below. They were all taken by a 5.0 MP digital camera.
